Website Promotion With Long Tailed keywordsSearch engine optimization is easier with long tail keywords than it is with short keywords.Single keywords may have a higher search volume but have more websites using them and the traffic generated is not targeted traffic. An example would be the keyword "car" as opposed to "car sales" or "high performance race car sales"" or antique high performance race car sales".If you were selling a 1968 Jaguar xke you really don't want the ford car buyer to click on your google adwords.The point of all this is that although the traffic generated by long tail keywords is less it is highly targeted and that's what you want for your niche site. Using a keyword analyser will give you many combinations of keywords that you can use as your secondary keyword phrases in the body of your text. If you were to search on the words" investing"or "Tampa Florida Real estate Investing" you would get very different results. The keywords "investing","Real Estate"," Tampa Florida," Beach Condos" when entered into a keyword analyser may result in hundreds of combinations all with an indicated search volume and density. The better keyword analysers also tell you how many adword campaigns are run on the word or phrase and the cost for that word or phrase. You can sort through each category and arrange them in a spreadsheet in decending or ascending order and then throw out the ones with low volume,low ad word campaigns and high density. You are now ready to start using your main keywords in your title,keyword list, and description. The various long tail words will be your secondary keywords and should be used in your body of the home page and other supporting pages.No one has just a home page anymore and few people search with only one word. So you will have plenty of use for the long tailed keywords in your supporting pages The supporting pages should all be linked to your home page of course.Don't be surprised if your back pages wind up with good supporting targeted traffic and may even rank well on their own because of the use of different keywords in a different text.
